Our journey began with a dream
Pinch of Home started with a dream I had long before it ever became a business. As a teenager growing up in California, I already knew two things about myself: I wanted to cook, and I wanted to help people. At the time, my dream was to open a restaurant and someday create a homeless shelter—a place where people could feel cared for, fed, and safe.
From passion to profession
In my 20s, I moved to Arizona, started a family, and eventually found myself working in a retirement community. My love for food led me into restaurant management, where I spent the next 10 years learning the ins and outs of the industry and, most importantly, learning just how much I enjoyed taking care of people.
Cooking, helping, caring: the heart of Pinch of Home
Eventually, my health made it impossible for me to continue working in management. I had to step away from the career I had built, but I still had a family to support—and I knew I couldn’t give up on the things I had always been good at: cooking, helping, and caring. That’s where Pinch of Home was born.
